Information Network Security Administration (INSA) has signed a work contract agreement to modernize the digital infrastructure of the Ministry of Mines and its affiliated institutions.
The agreement was signed today by INSA Director General Mrs. Tigist Hamid and Minister of Mines, Engineer Habtamu Tegegn.
According to the agreement, INSA will take responsibility for upgrading and modernizing the Ministry’s and its affiliated institutions’ security camera systems (CCTV), digital information display systems (digital signage), and network infrastructure.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mrs. Tigist Hamid stated that the agreement will help build digital infrastructure and reduce reliance on paper-based processes, enabling the Ministry of Mines—an institution that serves as a backbone for national development—to deliver its services more efficiently and in line with international standards. She also noted that the partnership will further strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
On his part, Minister Habtamu Tegegn stated that the Ministry has made the necessary preparations for the successful implementation of the project. He emphasized that the agreement will have significant benefits for the Ministry’s ongoing digital transformation efforts.
It was also highlighted that this agreement will not only elevate the working relationship between the two institutions but will also create opportunities for future collaboration in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure development.
The Ministry of Mines awarded this technology upgrade project to INSA in recognition of the Administration’s national responsibility and strong capacity in information security and technology infrastructure development.
