5th Cyber Talent Summer Camp Officially Launched!

The 5th edition of the Cyber Talent Summer Camp has officially commenced at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), strengthening Ethiopia’s efforts to build a skilled cybersecurity workforce and advance digital sovereignty.

Delivering the opening remarks, INSA Director General H.E. Tigist Hamid emphasized that digital security is a cornerstone of national survival and urged participants to use their knowledge ethically and for national development.

This year’s program has expanded significantly—from two universities in previous editions to seven training centers, including AASTU, Bahir Dar, Haramaya, Jimma, Debre Berhan, and Wolaita Sodo Universities, as well as INSA’s Talent Center. More than 14,000 young Ethiopians registered, demonstrating the growing interest in cybersecurity and digital skills.

The 5th Cyber Talent Summer Camp is sponsored by CHECHE Technologies as the Title Sponsor, with Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and MOTI Engineering serving as Platinum Sponsors.

The launch concluded with a tree-planting activity by the trainees, symbolizing their commitment to building a stronger and more sustainable digital future for Ethiopia.
