Regional Presidents and Senior Security Leaders Visit INSA

Regional presidents, along with senior leaders from federal and regional peace and security institutions who participated in the National Security Conference held under the theme “Coordination of Peace and Security Institutions for National Peace and Security,” paid a visit to the Information Network Security Administration (INSA).

During their visit, the leaders noted that the Administration has, over the past reform years, carried out extensive reforms that have enabled it to reach a strong institutional capacity to sustainably ensure the country’s cybersecurity and digital sovereignty.

They particularly highlighted that INSA’s efforts in strengthening indigenous technology development, human resource capacity building, and modern institutional structuring play a significant role in safeguarding Ethiopia’s national interests and securing its cyberspace.

The leaders further stated that, by modernizing itself in terms of knowledge and technology over the reform years, INSA has significantly enhanced its capacity to protect the country’s digital sovereignty and defend against cyberattacks. They affirmed that the institution’s current level of capability serves as a strong asset for strengthening national peace and security.

This joint visit is expected to further strengthen coordinated collaboration among peace and security institutions, as well as between federal and regional security structures, while elevating the role of cybersecurity in building Digital Ethiopia.
