A delegation of officials and experts from member states of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) visited the Information Network Security Administration (#INSA) today.
The purpose of the visit was to allow the delegation to closely observe the national-level activities and technological achievements that INSA has been implementing.
During their visit, the delegation was able to see INSA’s locally developed products, services, and infrastructures—created entirely with domestic capacity and without any foreign assistance.
These products, services, and infrastructures, developed by Ethiopia’s own information network security professionals, were highlighted during the visit as indicators of the country’s growing capabilities in the cybersecurity sector.
Ato Hanibal Lemma, Deputy Director General of the Information Network Security Administration, provided the visitors with a detailed explanation of the overall features, operations, and benefits of the technology solutions developed using local capacity.
Leaders and experts who participated in the visit remarked that this IGAD delegation tour clearly demonstrates INSA’s ongoing work in the cybersecurity sector, as well as the knowledge and experience it is ready to share with neighboring countries.
Participants in this visit were leaders and members who had taken part in the IGAD Member States’ Information Sharing and Analysis Center meeting.
