Interpol
President Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi visited the Information
Network Security Administration (INSA) to review the institution’s ongoing
efforts in securing Ethiopia’s digital landscape.
During the
visit, INSA Deputy Director General Mr. Daniel Gutta briefed the Interpol
President on INSA’s initiatives to safeguard Ethiopia’s digital sovereignty,
including human resource development, technology ownership, and the deployment
of locally developed operating systems.
Major General Dr. Al-Raisi commended INSA’s leadership role in building cybersecurity capacity, particularly in advancing youth engagement and technology literacy. The two organizations also discussed enhancing cooperation to combat cross-border cybercrime, strengthening information sharing, and boosting digital forensics and investigative capabilities
