INSA Director General, Mrs. Tigist Hamid, Extends Eid al-Fitr 1447 Greetings

The Director General of  Information Network Security Administration (INSA), Mrs. Tigist Hamid, has conveyed her Eid al-Fitr greetings on the occasion of the 1447th Eid to all Ethiopian Muslims and the institution’s employees.

In her message, the Director General expressed her best wishes for the holiday—celebrated with great religious devotion—to be a time of peace, love, joy, and mutual support.

She noted that the spirit of compassion, solidarity, and unity demonstrated by the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan should continue, encouraging support for the less fortunate and celebrating the holiday in togetherness and happiness.

Mrs. Tigist also stated that the Administration is working with strong commitment to ensure the country’s digital sovereignty and to play a leading role in the success of the “Digital Ethiopia 2030” strategy.

She emphasized that building a secure and reliable digital ecosystem is critical for national prosperity, adding that INSA will continue strengthening its efforts to protect critical infrastructure.

The Director General also warned about the rise in cyberattacks during holiday periods, particularly phishing attempts, fake advertisements, and deceptive links.

Accordingly, she urged the public to avoid opening suspicious links, to safeguard their personal and banking information, and to protect themselves and their institutions from cybercriminals.

Finally, she wished everyone a peaceful and joyful holiday and called on all citizens to fulfill their responsibility in ensuring a secure national cyberspace.
