Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Jorge Luis
Tapia Fonseca visited the Information Network Security Administration (INSA),
where Director General Hon. Mrs. Tigist Hamid welcomed him and briefed the
delegation on Ethiopia’s cybersecurity efforts. The visit ended with
discussions on enhancing cooperation between Ethiopia and Cuba in
cybersecurity.
Hon. Tapia Fonseca praised INSA’s focus on
youth talent development, highlighting Ethiopia’s strong digital transformation
vision. He also reaffirmed Cuba’s commitment to deepening collaboration in
science, technology, and cybersecurity.
Mrs. Tigist Hamid emphasized the potential for
knowledge exchange and joint work on cybersecurity innovation, noting fruitful
talks on research, development, and human resource growth.
The Deputy Prime Minister is attending the
Second United Nations Food Systems Conference in Ethiopia and took the
opportunity to visit institutions like INSA to strengthen bilateral ties.
