HPR, Peace and Foreign Affairs Standing Committee visits INSA
Addis Ababa 31 Jan2019, Members of Peace and Foreign Affairs Standing Committee of the FDRE’s House of People’s Representatives have paid a visit to INSA.
During its visit, the standing committee observed various products and services demonstrated by INSA’s Engineers.
While presenting the 6 months Performance Report of her Agency to the Standing Committee, W/ro Efrah Ali, Director General of INSA, has touched upon the short comings of the Agency prior to the commencement of the institutional reform.
Poor management system, especially in Human Resource and Project Management, and rent seeking were among the mal practices the Agency strived to wipe out in the last six months – she stated.
Ato Tesfaye Daba, chairperson of the Standing Committee for Peace and Foreign Affairs, in his part stressed that the committee noticed that INSA has been performing various commendable tasks in accomplishing its mission. Nevertheless, he asserted that INSA should work hard in building its image working in synergy with other stakeholders.
Following their visit to INSA, members of the standing committee expressed their firm belief that the Agency will strengthen its effort to maintain the nation’s cyber security.
Moreover, the standing committee acknowledged the exemplary day care service which is exclusive to children of the Agency’s employees.
The Management of INSA has reflected on some questions raised from the committee while taking the feedbacks as constructive and helpful for the mission at hand.
