Phase one of Oromia BPR automation project has been finalized

The first phase of the Oromia BPR Automation Project has been finalized. The project was visited by the higher officials of the Oromia Regional Government and the Federal Government of Ethiopia on 25 October 2009.

Ato Abadula Gemeda, the president of the Oromia Regional State, said on the occasion that the project carried out by the Information Network Security Agency (INSA) automates the activities of the regional government thereby enhancing the quality of the service delivery, the information exchange among different bureaus, and the archiving system of the regional government.

As the president further stated, the project has a foreseen value of building the capacity of Ethiopian professionals in the field by providing the opportunity for practical experience. Also, the region is proud to have provided this opportunity.

INSA is now in a preparation stage to commence a similar project for Addis Ababa City Administration and it has a plan to extend the facility to other regions in the coming five years.
